Trading in foreign exchange, contracts for difference, and other leveraged products involves substantial risk of loss and is not appropriate for all investors. You should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite before deciding to trade. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss in excess of your deposited funds and therefore you should not speculate with capital that you cannot afford to lose.
Leveraged financial instruments allow you to control a position significantly larger than your deposited margin. While leverage can amplify profits, it equally amplifies losses. A relatively small adverse market movement can result in a loss greater than your entire account balance. You may be required to deposit additional funds at short notice to maintain your positions.
Prices of financial instruments are influenced by many factors including economic data releases, geopolitical events, monetary policy decisions, and market sentiment. These factors can cause rapid and unpredictable price movements that may work against your trading positions.
Under certain market conditions, it may be difficult or impossible to liquidate a position. This can occur during periods of extreme volatility, low liquidity, or following major news events. In such circumstances, you may be unable to exit a losing position, potentially increasing losses.
Online trading systems are subject to technical failures, including internet connectivity disruptions, hardware failures, and software errors. HGFX MARKETS LIMITED is not responsible for losses arising from such failures. You should maintain alternative means of accessing your account and placing orders at all times.
If your account is denominated in a currency different from the base currency of the instruments you trade, fluctuations in exchange rates may affect the value of your profits and losses when converted to your account currency.
Past performance of any financial instrument, trading strategy, or trader is not indicative of future results. Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations and do not represent actual trading outcomes.
If you are in any doubt as to whether trading is appropriate for you, you should seek independent financial, legal, and tax advice before proceeding. HGFX MARKETS LIMITED provides execution-only services and does not provide investment advice or recommendations.
By opening an account with HGFX MARKETS LIMITED, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure Statement and accept all risks associated with trading leveraged financial instruments.
